Passover 101 with Rabbi Eilfort
Join us at shul on Tuesday, April 16 at 7pm for an overview of the upcoming holiday of Pesach! Rabbi Eilfort will not only explain the dos and don’ts of the holiday, but he will also share thoughts about the traditional Passover Seder and its component parts.
There is no charge to attend, but reservations are appreciated.
PASSOVER APPEAL
Dear Friends,
We are in the midst of our annual Passover Appeal. It even has a traditional, designated name; “Ma’ot chittim”, which literally means money for food. The expenses for the holiday are super-charged (on steroids) at this time of year, especially when we consider the various grants distributed by our community to those in need.
People who need assistance reach out to us. We cannot turn them down!
Please be as generous as you can and donate securely here: www.ChabadatLaCosta.com/donate.
Like voting in Chicago, we encourage you to give early and often. 😊
May Hashem bless you and your family with a Kosher and Joyous Passover!
Rabbi Eilfort

Kiddush Sponsor
This week’s Kiddush is being sponsored by Rabbi and Rebbetzin Elia and Chaya Eilfort in honor of Leib’s Upsherin (3rd birthday). It is being cosponsored by the Sapol family in loving memory of Sandra’s mother, Silvia Kremer.
Each Shabbos after services, our beautiful community enjoys Shabbos lunch together. It is a true celebration where we bask in each other’s company while savoring delicious food.
YOU ARE INVITED AND ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE
We are always seeking additional sponsors, so if you can sponsor a Kiddush, please let us know.
An Important Note about Kiddushes –
The policy of the shul is to allow multiple sponsors for every Kiddush unless it is a Bar/Bat Mitzvah or something similar (like a 50th wedding anniversary etc.).
There is no such thing as an exclusive Kiddush sponsor.
This is our policy for numerous reasons, not least of which is the fact that Kiddush sponsorships help generate much-needed income for our community and encourages more people to participate.
We thank you for your support and understanding!
Soup & Challah Sponsors
Soup and Challah is being sponsored by Clive Walden & the estate of Channah Hale. A big Yasher Koach to our volunteer deliverers - Carrie Rossenfeld. *New weekly driver needed for the Alga route.
Challah is delivered to Mental Health Residential Centers in the area, people undergoing chemotherapy, and people who really love the addition to their Shabbos experience.
Deliver and get a bag of challah for your family as well!
