YES Soup & Challah. YES Friday Night Services. YES Shabbos Morning Service. YES Daily Services.
END OF YEAR CAMPAIGN IS GOING STRONG – CAN YOU BE THE LIGHT?
As of now we, thanks to our friends and supporters, especially our generous matchers, we are OVER 50% of our $360,000 goal, and as of now, at about $200,000! This means we are well on our way to fulfilling our needs, which enables us to continue offering all our programs and services, as well as keeping the lights on and our staff paid.
YOU DID THAT! THANK YOU!
The Rebbetzin is jealous that Rabbi E’s team has outraised her Soup and Challah Team. Can you help the Rebbetzin in her crusade in surpassing the Rabbi? If yes, please donate securely here: www.ChabadatLaCosta.com/campaign. She made a lot of progress since last week, but alas, she still lags behind. Team Grammy Sheila has made some major moves as well.
If you favor the Hebrew School Team or the Coastal Gan Team, or even Rabbi E’s Team, by all means, indicate one of them when you make your donation. :)
The important thing is that everyone makes a difference and that your generosity and support are always greatly appreciated!
Like voting in Chicago, give early and give often.
THANK YOU and G-d bless!
CHANUKAH TOY DRIVE SUCCESS
This past week several volunteers came in to wrap some Chanukah gifts for our Friendship Circle friends. The wrapping paper and ribbons were flying through the room, and everything came out looking beautifully!

FRIDAY NIGHT & DAILY SERVICES GOING STRONG! JOIN US AND MAKE THEM STRONGER!
We offer a Weekly Friday Night service (4:30pm – 5:30pm) and a Daily Minyan, Sunday – Friday at 8:30am.
You too can join our ‘Minyanaires’ Club!
Top 10 Excuses Not to Go to Minyan – Debunked!
1) “Someone else will go, so you don’t need me.”
We need you! This includes teens, businessmen, dads and grandpas! If everyone from Coastal Chabads showed up just once a month, we’d never have to wonder if we will have enough for a Minyan.
2) “Morning Minyan is three hours long.”
Minyan is less than an hour. Monday and Thursday services are a little longer because they include a short Torah reading, but we’re still finished in an hour. On most days services take just 45 minutes.
3) “I’m on the way to the gym in workout clothes.”
There is no dress code. Minyanaires wear everything from workout clothes to business attire when they are on their way to work.
4) “I don’t know how to put on Tefillin.”
Not everyone has their own Tefillin (yet) or has experience putting them on. Someone will be happy to show you how it’s done.
5) “I don’t know anyone there.”
That’s ok! Everyone is welcome. There is a friendly group of regulars and attending Minyan is a great way to meet other community members.
6) “I won’t know the prayers or what page everyone is on.”
The more you go, the more you know! In the meantime, anyone there will be happy to help you learn the prayers, and page numbers are announced throughout the service.
7) “Minyan is only for retired men.”
Although you will find a few retirees, you will also men of all ages, professions and interests. Kids come and participate, too!
8) “Minyan is for people who have to say Kaddish.”
Minyan is for people who want to start their day off doing something positive for themselves and others. Tefilah/Prayers is THE Jewish way to connect to G-d.
9) “I don’t like the Rabbi’s jokes.”
Don’t worry! We have ‘ways’ to fix any problem. 😉
10) “Only very religious people go to Minyan.”
Minyan is for everyone who wants to connect with G-d and/or the community!

An Important Note about Kiddushes –
The policy of the shul is to allow multiple sponsors for every Kiddush unless it is a Bar/Bat Mitzvah or something similar (like a 50th wedding anniversary etc.).
There is no such thing as an exclusive Kiddush sponsor.
This is our policy for numerous reasons, not least of which is the fact that Kiddush sponsorships help generate much-needed income for our community and encourages more people to participate.
We thank you for your support and understanding!
Soup & Challah Sponsors
Soup and Challah is being sponsored by Clive Walden & the estate of Channah Hale.
NEED MORE DRIVERS, Thank you Sharna Skjei, and Catherine Clancy for volunteering.
